Monty Ross, one of Inyani’s producers, is a seasoned film producer and director whose career spans several decades.

He co-founded 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks alongside Spike Lee, playing a pivotal role in the production of landmark films such as She's Gotta Have It, Do the Right Thing, Mo' Better Blues, Malcolm X, Crooklyn, and Inside Man.

As Vice President of Production at 40 Acres, Ross managed day-to-day operations and oversaw multiple facets of the filmmaking process. 

Monty produced all of Lee’s most influential motion pictures, collaborating with major talents including Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Samuel L. Jackson, Laurence Fishburne, Wesley Snipes, Angela Bassett, Alfre Woodard, Martin Lawrence, Delroy Lindo, Giancarlo Esposito, John Turturro, and music icons like Prince and Public Enemy.

Beyond his collaborations with Spike Lee, Ross has continued to direct and produce meaningful projects, including the award-winning film The Opera Game.
